Notice for Event Attendees

This venue uses cameras to count crowds. They measure how busy each area is. They do not identify you, and they cannot hear you.

The cameras are operated by the event organizer or venue. RTEAM.ai is the technology company that processes the video for them. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to what the cameras see.

What the cameras measure

How many people are in each area, and how busy it is
How people move between areas, and how long queues take
How long people stay
An estimate of the age range and gender mix of the crowd overall

Age and gender are guesses about the crowd, not facts about you. They are counted from appearance, as totals, and nothing about a face is stored, so nobody can look you up later.

What the cameras never do

They never record sound. No audio is captured at any point. Conversations are not recorded and cannot be.
They never work out who you are. Your name is never collected. Nothing is matched against tickets, payments, social media, or any database of known people. The system has no way to say who anyone is.
They never record race or ethnicity. That output is discarded by the software before anything reads it.
They never judge how you feel. There is no emotion or mood detection.
They never recognize you on a later visit. There is no face matching here, at this venue or anywhere else. A later night cannot tell that you have been here before.
They are never used for watchlists or advertising. Not for security lists, not for law enforcement identification, and not to build an advertising profile. Your data is never sold.

How long it is kept

Recorded video and the counting data are kept while the organizer remains our customer, so that events can be compared over time and re-checked for accuracy. It is deleted when the organizer stops using the service, or sooner if they or you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of data about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Start with the event organizer or venue, because they decide what is collected and they are legally responsible for it. If you do not know who to ask, write to us with the venue, the date, and roughly the time, and we will pass your request on.

One honest limitation.Because we never collect names, we usually cannot find one specific person’s record from a name or a photograph. That is a deliberate privacy protection, and it is also a real limit on what we can look up for you. We will not ask you for extra identifying details just to search, because that would create exactly the link this system is designed to avoid.

Children

Cameras at a public event capture whoever is present, including children, who are counted in the same way as everyone else. No record is linked to a child’s name, because no names are collected from anyone. The event organizer is responsible for any additional consents that the law requires for minors at their event.
